Give a shout out to Heidi who so graciously is allowing me to use her face on our blog. I worked with her in NYC a few weeks ago and am finally posting her pictures. 

Heidi has never worn a lot of makeup for fear of looking to made up and like she's trying to cover up her freckles. I love that she doesn't want to hide her freckles as it suits her and that is how God made her. I gave her a simple routine that fits her personality and sporty lifestyle.

We started with a sheer foundation (Mineral Sheer Tint) to even out her skin tone without looking heavily made up. To further even out and brighten her skin we used Mineral Photo Touch Concealer.

To darken up her brows and frame her eyes beautifully we applied a light application of Brow Tint in Blonde.

Heidi has the most amazing "piercing" turquoise eyes I have ever seen and does not need much makeup to make them stand out. Two neutral shades of Mineral Shadow  was applied along with Eyeliner in Bark and finished with two coats of SuperWear Mascara.

Micro-Bubble Lipstick in Sunberry adds a fun pop of color to finish her entire look.

colored shorts make me happy

I think I have already worn more shorts this spring than I did all last summer! I can't stop buying wearing all of those bright colors. There is just something about a bright colored pair of shorts, pants, jeans or a skirt that tends to brighten my day and put an extra bounce in my step. Are you obsessing about colored bottoms as much as I am?

from the studio to the greenhouse...

I work by appointment only so my day can consist of working at the studio for a few hours, a client's closet, shopping with clients, errands or at the home office, etc... So I like outfits that can easily transition depending on my day.

 This day I worked at the studio with a great group of girls and their mentors from Pal Mission and from there went tree shopping for my niece's wedding. I dressed up a pair of shorts and then simply took off the vest, some accessories and switched my shoes for an afternoon at the greenhouse.

An outfit I wore for an entire day of shopping with and for clients. For those days I try and wear things that will move with me, are comfortable, on trend and still look professional. This buttery soft tee from Zara and my Clarks sandals definitely fit the bill. Pulling out this skirt I have had in my closet for about 4 years makes me feel like a have a brand new and trendy piece.
