Happy Mother's Day!

My mom and I, a few months ago when I was in Florida.

Mom doesn't like this picture because it was damp, therefore flat hair. And, she had brought her denim jacket forgetting she was wearing jeans in the same shade, therefore, denim suit look! That's why I love these pictures!

We were trying to "spruce" our hair before posing. Dad, the photographer snaps this picture. It makes me miss my mom!

Casual Elegance

Karen is a very elegant dresser, therefore always tends to be a little dressier when wearing jeans.

Karen has a wonderful hourglass figure and is accentuating it by wearing a belt at the narrowest part of her waist. It's also a great way to add interest to your outfit or give shape to an otherwise boxy shirt.

When doing horizontal stripes try and keep your tops fitted to avoid the "wider than you are" look.

I bought this dress 2 years ago, ended up feeling like it was too much (I'm only 5'2'') and never wore it. I gave it to a friend and recently asked for it back since she never wore it either ( you can do that, right?!). I reinvented it as a skirt and loved it!

You will be seeing more of this dress even though my 8 yr. old daughter told me it embarrasses her. I think it's just because she's not used to seeing me in anything long. At least that's what I'm going with! haha
