triple threat

Say hello to two of my clients, Cheryl and Heidi, who I had the pleasure of working with in NYC last week. We shopped, ate and drank our way through the city. Lucky for us Cheryl's hubby was along to carry packages. Luis, you know we love you!

Heidi, who recently moved from Seattle to NYC needed a wardrobe for a new city and lifestyle, that still compliments her personality and style.

Here is a simple outfit of legging pants, a tunic length button up (both from Aritzia) and Converse for running around the city.

Cheryl, who owns Crimson Design Group (along with her husband) in Columbus, OH needed a wardrobe that is professional yet fun, artsy and creative.

Here she is wearing a great fitting shirt-dress, belt and cheetah print shoes. A perfect outfit for work (and shopping).

I am wearing colored skinny jeans from Express, a floaty top from Forever 21 and dalmation print Sperry's. Yes, it was a perfect outfit for a whole day of shopping and running around the city.

Amber's prom makeup

Say hello to Amber, whose makeup I did for prom a few weeks ago.

She wore a beautiful green dress, fabulous earrings, and her hair was amazing (done by Sandra at Sheer Professionals in Wooster, OH), all of which I wanted to compliment with her makeup.

I gave her bold brows using Brush on Brow in Blonde to balance her "sculpted" hairstyle. On her eyes I used a light neutral shadow, a bronze shadow and added a splash of green in her inner corner to compliment the color in her dress. Creme Liner in Mahogany blended into her shadow and a few coats of Superwear Mascara finished her look.

When adding the same color of shadow that you are wearing doing it in smaller areas only will keep it from looking to "matchy-matchy" and like it's Amber's "green day".

Today I head to NYC and then to Michigan to work with clients and do an event. Hoping to have a little time to bounce around the city and do a little shopping for myself. The next few days of posts will be outfits I have worn over the last week or two.

A few pictures of prom makeup I did last week.

Say hello to Tammy and her gorgeous eyes! Tammy wanted her eyes to be the focal point of her "look", trust me she doesn't need makeup to make that happen.

I wanted to compliment her dress and hair (which was done by Anita at Dexterity Salon).

I used two very light, neutral shadows with lots of Creme Liner in Mahogany and 3 coats of Superwear Mascara.

I used Mineral Photo Touch Foundation to give her skin a flawless finish, Mineral Blush in pink quartz to give her a rosy glow and Luxury Gloss in Pale Petal to compliment the color and sequins in her dress.

April 2012 Client Closet of the Month - day 7

Client Closet of the Month is where an established client receives a complimentary 2 hour Closet Shopping Service in exchange for her/him posing in outfits I put together of what they already have in their closet.

Another dress and footless tights! A little black dress such as Lee Ann's is a must in your closet! It can be worn year round simply by layering it, worn casual by keeping accessories and shoes simple or made glamorous by adding bling and fabulous heels.

I asked Lee Ann to write a little something about her experience as a Rig & Co. client, and here is what she had to say...

When it comes to styles and clothing, for years I had been just an observer.

And during that stretch of time, especially after having children, I was waiting. I would look at smashing outfits and say to myself, "when I lose weight I'll wear something like that." That waiting turned into years. And during that time, I covered myself up. I wore big sweatshirts (even in the summer!) and virtually lived in sweats. And when I did get dressed up, I would wear things I didn't really love. I was waiting. For whatever reason, I told myself only when I got to a certain size would I look "cute" or "bright" or "fashionable." Boy, was I believing a lie.

Rhoda has changed more for me than she really even realizes. Rhoda has helped me become me. Really, I believe part of Rhoda's gift is "helping match the me on-the-inside to the me on-the-outside." And she helped me get over the waiting. Rhoda is teaching me to learn to celebrate the me I am right now, today. So, if you have been watching & waiting and thinking "someday I'll be a 'Rhoda client'' I really wanna encourage you not to wait any longer. I promise you won't regret it! 

As a client, Rhoda doesn't make you feel like a client, she becomes your friend and your biggest fashion cheerleader. I really love her help, but honestly, I truly love her! She's amazing.

Lee Ann, it has been such a pleasure "hanging out" in your closet again. :) You know I always enjoy spending time with you, fashion related or not. You are an amazing individual who loves life and people, and a great example of a wife, mother and friend. I know you inspire others as much as you inspire me!!! Here's to a growing friendship in fashion and life!
