I am not much of a lace person unless it's a bold lace in a bold color and then I'm in love. As is the case here. Pairing it with a bright jacket and boyfriend jeans makes it me. I've said it a hundred times and I will say it again; wear what you love and love what you wear.
You have to get dressed so you might as well dress in something that makes you feel pretty.
A simple outfit of jeans and a tee can be more interesting with some details, accessories and great shoes.
And speaking of great shoes; I found these Born Sandals on Piperlime for about $32 on sale and with a rewards card. They are worth the $100 they are priced at and amazingly comfortable for how high of a wedge they are. I shopped in them for two days without a problem. Also, I thought Born shoes are not supposed to be cute. So thank you to whoever is designing the cute new comfort shoes!

I love it that summer is here! I love doing bright colors (obviously, I have hot pink hair!) and of course I'm doing pattern mixing again! There's just something about a bright color and sandals that makes me happy!
...here are my outfits from last week while working in NYC.
When traveling I pack minimally and plan my outfits strategically so I only need a carry on. The only time this does not apply is when I'm taking a road trip or plan on doing a lot of shopping. Since this trip was strictly for work, I only packed a carry on and still had room for a great jacket I purchased at Zara.
My travel outfit consisted of a striped knit tee, scarf, dark wash jeans and sandals.
Entire outfit (minus the sandals) is from bfearless, a local boutique.
Day 2 in NYC... A slouchy sweater, knit skirt and neutral wedges was an easy yet dressy outfit for an entire work day.
