I have had this dress for a few years but have not worn it for awhile. It's funny how I pull things like that out of my closet and then end up wearing it two weeks in a row. Maybe because it feels like I have something new.
Above is how I wore it last week, super simple with edgy shoes and accessories. Below is how I wore it yesterday. I added a vest and kept the same accessories and shoes.
Hubby hates this dress because it's too "full" and my sister thinks I need a rottweiler with a spiked collar to match my shoes. LOL I love both pieces and will continue to wear them whether they like it or not. Tell me, do you wear things even if someone else doesn't like your outfit or style?
I haven't worn my white pencil skirt all summer. Why? I have no idea but last week I started pulling out all my white bottoms. I think I might be panicking that Fall is around the corner and somehow I need to be wearing all my white before it's "too late". Not that I follow the "no white after Labor Day" rule. Do you?

When the peplum top rolled back around I wasn't so sure I could do it again. Yes, I am dating myself telling you I did this trend once before. I had considered posting a picture but didn't want to scar you for life, so just use your imagination. :)
How do I wear the peplum top you ask....well, here are a few tips...
If you have curves like me, pick a top that is more fitted around the bust, has only a slight flare to the peplum, with a hem that sits higher than the widest part of your hip. Shop this one or this one.
To add curves to a staighter figure, pick a top that has a fuller peplum and have the hem sit anywhere around the hip area, like this one or this one.
Happy shopping and I hope your Monday is fantastic.
Wearing prints and patterns together is something that just makes me happy and defines my style. When doing so, keep one print/pattern larger than the other to create balance and keep people from getting dizzy as they stare at you. :)
Sooo...the original outfit did not include a scarf. However, after putting my jacket on I noticed I had a bleach spot on my collar after wearing it to a hair appointment a few weeks ago. Not having time to change into another outfit I added a scarf, and yes I do like the scarf with it, which is good since I will never wear this jacket without a scarf again. I do love the jacket enough to keep it, bleach spot or not! Tell me, do you keep an item that has spots on it if you can cover them up? Should you? Would you?
