to Vegas in a carry on

I try and pack a carry on only when traveling for a week or less. I might be crazy but it's just easier once you get there. I'm very strategic in planning my outfits and re-using shoes, handbags, accessories and a few clothing pieces.

Cheetah print shorts for work? Not every day but depending on my appointments, yes. (Remember...my line of work lets me dress more creatively).

When wearing a shorter bottom I try to keep my top covered and wear flats to make it more work appropriate.

Neutrals... Love them all in one outfit or feel like it needs color?

When working with clients I find that most women love neutrals because they are "safe" and thought process free. I love pairing neutrals as I think they can be very dramatic and interesting when using patterns and adding accessories.

This is how I dress shorts up for work... 

A dressier tank top, jacket and wedges immediately make a pair of shorts less casual and more work appropriate. Now obviously it depends hugely on your place of work on whether you can pull this off or not. As an Image Consultant I can do this depending on what my job consists of for that day. Make sure shorts are allowed at your place of work before attempting this. If they are not, try it for the weekend or evening.

Either way, mix it up and have fun with your wardrobe.

I am in love with my studded vest! When I'm just at home I do the shorts and top, but when I go to the store or for running around town, I add the vest and necklace for some added spice!
