Preppy Professional

I took a simple tank dress and paired it with a sleevless button down shirt (less bulk when worn under sweaters), and topped it with a plain, boring gray sweatshirt to create a preppy, professional look. Pairing it with bright tights makes it "me".

Dress (worn as skirt), Button Down Shirt and Earrings - Express, Sweatshirt - F21, Necklace - Limited, Tights - Hue, Boots - Kelly & Katie (DSW)

I can't believe we are having snow the last day of March! I'm not angry, I'm just sayin. Yep, I should be moving South! Happy last day of March!

Casual Rock Star

Jeans and Sweater - Express, Shirt and Sunglasses - F21, Jacket - Gap, Necklace - Berlin Village Gift Barn, Earrings - Old Fave's, Boots - Kelly & Katie (DSW)

Black & Red & Yellow All Over!

I've done all black here, but notice the different textures, the shiny snake skin leggings with the matte black classic shirt and then the heavy chunky jewelry. It just works!

I love the combination of the all black with the chunky silver necklace.

Shirt, Leggings, Earrings, & Necklace - Express, Cami - Limited, Shoes - Colin Stuart (Victorias Secret)

Love Color

I love my sweater dresses but must admit I am ready for short sleeves and sandals. I believe I mentioned something similiar yesterday. Apparently I am REALLY ready for spring.

Dress - Loft, Long Sleeve Tee - Old Navy, Tights - Hue, Boots - Zigi Soho (DSW), Scarf - Express, Necklace - Berlin Village Gift Barn, Earrings - American Eagle

Hug me just right

It's sunny but still 30 degrees. I'm trying to decide if I keep layering or just freeze and start wearing my spring wardrobe. Today I layered.

These are my favorite skinny jeans, from Express. I love the color, the rise is perfect, the leg line is awesome, and they hug my butt just right (maybe sometime I will show you my backside in these). haha

Jeans, Tank Top, Vest and Earrings - Express, Sweater - Pac Sun, Belt - Micheal Kors, Scarf - Homespun Treasures (local store), Bracelets and Sunglasses - NY&CO, Shoes - Bandolino (DSW)

Vanessa Mixes It Up!

Our niece, Vanessa is rockin a striped tee and giving us a few cute ideas.

Tee and Vest - Maurices, Jeans - Lane Bryant, Necklace - F21, Shoes - DSW

Added a sweater from Pac Sun for warmth. Yes, you can wear two stripes together, as long as one is bigger than the other. Love the detail and color of the shoes.

She said she feels like she should go to a tea party in her skirt from Express and shoes from Wet Seal. She does look rather demure and lady like. Again, you can wear prints and stripes together as long as one print overpowers the other.

Brooke and Vanessa frequently model for me when I am working with teenagers (church groups, high school groups etc...)and we are discussing how to wear the lastest trends, dressing for your body type, etc... Last week when I picked out their outfits (out of their wardrobe) I made them pose for me so I could share them with you. More to come over the next few weeks. - Rhoda

A Little Girly, A Little Flirty

Ok, so I love this outfit! You'll notice that I got every piece of this outfit from a different store, the dress is my best buy at only $10!
I tried the dress on and was ready to ditch it because it wasn't fitting right around the top, but I loved it so much that I kept it on and messed with it. I discovered that the straps were too long, a very simple fix, so I bought it for $10 and went home and tailored it myself, and trust me I suck at sewing, so I just did a simple hand stitch and noone would ever know. This is now my favorite dress!

Dress - Steve Madden (Burlinton Coat Factory) $10, Sweater - Express $30, Belt - NY&Co.$20,
Bracelets - Charolette Russe $8, Earrings - F21 $4, Shoes - Ross $6.50 (Clearance)
Total Oufit: $78.50

Simply Gray

Brooke is showing us different ways to wear a
simple gray sweater dress.

Very simple and cute. Sweater Dress - Gabriel Brothers, Jeans - Charlotte Russe, Sandals - Aldo

A Long Sleeve Tee from Gap Outlet and Leggings from Justice are a great way to stay warm while looking cute. Belt - Wet Seal, Necklace - Gift

Adding a fun printed Cardigan from Charlotte Russe gives it a modern and creative feel.

Don't consider a plain gray or black dress boring. Add elements to make it your own.

We will be showing you a few more remix's within the next few weeks.

Industrial Chic

Jacket - Express, Graphic Tee - Marshall's, Jean Legging - F21, Necklace & Earrings - Bijou Bridgette,
Shoes - Traffic, Bag - NY&Co.

Basking In The Sun

Jeans, Tank Top and Scarf - Express, Sweatshirt - Gap, Earrings - Limited, Sunglasses - NY&CO, Bag - Macy's, Shoes - Steve Madden (DSW)

It's a super casual day, which calls for a sweatshirt. I found this on the clearance rack at Gap and loved the somewhat "grandpa" style of it. It's a sweatshirt but a thousand times better than a hoodie. Don't get me wrong, I also believe there are days that call for hoodies.

Street Style

Say hi to my dear friend Mim. She makes my world better. We spent the day in Wooster, OH having lunch at Broken Rocks Cafe (awesome), then headed to the The Bead Cafe and Pat Catan's for some serious inspiration, giggles, and some sugary Peeps (I love those sweet marshmallow treats).

Mim looks great in her Express Jeans and Tunic, and Sweater from TJ Maxx.

Thanks for posing for me girl, you know I love you!

Making Old New Again!

I've had this jumpsuit for about 3 years now, and I still love to wear it. I paired it with a modern military jacket and feather earrings to "update" it a bit, it is more of a trendy piece but when paired with things that are current I can get longer wear out of it.

Jumpsuit - Express, Jacket - F21, Earrings - Thrifted, Shoes - Victoria's Secret

Pinch me, I'm not wearing green!

Shirt, Skirt, Bracelet and Earrings - Express, Vest - Gap, Tights - Hue, Shoes - Madden Girl (Macy's), Ring - gifted

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

Black & White With Pink Is Bright!

I really love this outfit, it is 80's inspired with the black and white and hot pink. I love the style of the 80's as well as the music! I always wonder what I'll think when I am older and look back at the things I used to wear, I'm sure my kids will laugh at me like I did when I seen pictures of what my parents used to wear. But then I think, "I don't care!", because I love fashion and the way the trends change, it keeps things interesting!

Sweater, Graphic Tee, & Earrings - Express, Skirt - H&M, Belt - Guess Outlet,
Bracelets - Gabe's & Burlington Coat Facotry, Shoes - Traffic
