July 2012 Client Closet of the Month - day 4

Client Closet of the Month is where an established client receives a complimentary 2 hour Closet Shopping Service in exchange for her/him posing in outfits I put together of what they already have in their closet.

How to wear sequins to work...
We paired her sequin top with a bright cardigan, neutral pants and sandals. If your work dress code doesn't allow you to wear cropped pants or sandals simply do a full pant and nude shoes.
I think an outfit such as this shows you are having fun with and enjoying your wardrobe. It's mandatory that you get dressed so why not have fun with it?!

A classic pair of trousers will be priceless in your  work wardrobe. Spend a little more on staples such as this and they will last a long time. Think of your wardrobe as price per wear, and spend more on the pieces that will not go out of style.

Young professionals, just because you need a professional wardrobe doesn't mean you have to be fuddy-duddy or feel like you have to dress "older". Purchase staples like dress pants, cardigans and jackets. You can then add your fun tops and accessories to make the outfit feel like you.

If you want to go somewhere in your job, dress like you do! If you wear your weekend wardrobe to work it will tell your employer/boss that you are not serious about your job, even if you are. Whether we like it or not, we are judged based on what we are wearing. I know you have heard this before, but I am going to say it again...Dress for the job you want, not the job you have.
